Tegan + Dan | White Rock Wedding Highlights

This past weekend I was lucky enough to film Tegan and Dan Klenner's wedding. Tegan and I have known each other since we learned to walk and talk. I went to church with her when we were toddlers and we went through kindergarden to grade 12 together. Needless to say, we go way back. Dan entered Tegan's life a couple of years ago and they fell deeply in love pretty quickly. They both have a passion for music, art, Value Village and the Church, which makes them pretty much made for each other. I was so excited when I found out they were engaged that I jumped at the chance to film their wedding. I reached out to them and lucky for me they loved the idea.
This wedding was truly one of a kind. The vintage inspired theme was spread throughout the entire day with lots of feathers and beach cruisers (check out Tegan and her friend's awesome vintage apparel and accessory company here). Tegan walked barefoot down the aisle for the backyard ceremony accompanied by music from Dan's former band mates of Hey Ocean. So awesome! I've never been to a wedding with such amazing live music. Dan is an incredibly talented musician and has tons of friends in the Vancouver music scene (Hey Ocean, Said the Whale, We are the City, etc.)
Below is their highlight film. I hope you enjoy it.
Also a little side note… Laurell and Trevor's Wedding Film was featured on the cover of Style Me Pretty Wedding Blog yesterday. Check it out here and leave some comments!

Leslie Brown | Photography Promo

A while back Jamie Delaine asked me to cover a bridal fashion shoot that she had setup. It was so much fun, if you haven't seen it check it out here. Once Jamie and I blogged the video I received a few interesting emails. One of which was a request to shoot a promotional video for the extremely talented photographer that is Leslie Brown. She told me she would be in Vancouver in June, so we setup a time to meet and had a great time walking through Yaletown getting some shots. Below is the finished promotional video.

I liked it so I put a ring on it

"It keeps getting better everyday" is something my grandfather said on a daily basis, and the older I get the more I realize how true it can be. Just a couple of weeks ago I asked my long time girlfriend of nearly 4 years to marry me and she said YES! She is an incredible woman and I'm so excited to grow old with her. I love what I do especially because I get to meet all of these wonderful couples and watch them fall deeper in love with each other through my camera lens, and now it's our turn. My fiancée, Erin (it feels weird saying fiancée) has been my long time assistant and second shooter and is now officially apart of the Hello Tomorrow team. Come May 21st, we will officially be a husband and wife owned production house and I cannot wait!
I'm so excited for the rest of this summer. August is jam packed with weddings for us and we can't wait to show you the footage. We also have some really exciting fall weddings (including another Texas wedding!) and more incredibly awesome updates to share with you so stay tuned!
PS here is a shot of the the engagement ring

Bonny Jo & Joshua Trailer | Dallas, TX

I met Joshua about a year and a half ago where we attended film school together in Vancouver. Halfway through the year I had the pleasure of spending time with his fiance Bonny-Jo when she came to visit. Joshua had mentioned that he was thinking about hiring me and flying me out to Dallas Texas to film their wedding. After working out the logistics he bought the tickets and it was booked! So fast forward 8 months and here we are. The wedding day finally came. I had never been to Dallas before so it was an awesome experience to see the city. I had such a fun time with this incredible couple. These two have an amazing story. They've known each other since they were in their young teenage years. Joshua had pursued Bonny for quite some time and once she fell for him they were inseparable.  Their unconditional love for each other is so apparent when you see them together and their wedding day truly reflected that. It was also one of THE funnest weddings I've been to. They really wanted their quests to have a fun time and they truly succeeded.
Dallas Texas is usually a warm and sunny place this time of year and up until a few days before the wedding that was the forecast. But on the wedding day the clouds threatened to change plans but Joshua and Bonny-Jo were determined and willed the rain away. The rain held off long enough for the photo shoot but once the ceremony started the rain had begun. At this point their was no turning back and to tell you the truth I'm glad it rained. To see this couple surrounded by their family and closest friends, declaring they're love for each other in the poring rain was just amazing.
I'd like to give a special thanks to Bonny-Jo and Joshua for flying me out to be apart of this amazing wedding and to meet their amazing friends and family.
Below is a short trailer of their wedding day.
