Sharon + Anthony || Be Mine Forever

This was probably the most fun we've ever had at a wedding. Sharon and Anthony are two incredible people who love to enjoy life and that's exactly what happened on their wedding day. Often times when creating a wedding film, we look for heartfelt personal vows to help tell the story. Sometimes we use a speech or two from the reception. While putting this film together I had such a hard time trying to decide which to use. Sharon and Anthony's vows were so beautiful and heartfelt and all of the speeches throughout the reception were so amazing and thoughtful. The entire wedding day had so much heart and laughter and it was infectious. At the reception there was so much dancing. The wedding party danced to "Party Rock Anthem" as they arrived at the reception, people danced in lieu of tinkling glasses to see the couple kiss and there was even a flash mob. Yeah… a flash mob! So awesome!

We had an incredible day and loved creating Sharon and Anthony's highlight film. Check it out below! Be sure to watch to the very end to see a special something from Anthony's nephew.

We loved working with the photographers Rina and Anton of Infused Studios out of Edmonton. Check out their site!

Catherine + Abe || Stop Thinking Like Me

On July 23rd, Catherine and Abe tied the knot. The conditions couldn't have been better for their wedding day. The sun was out, not too hot, not too cold but just perfect. The wedding day was full of laughter and joy and you could really see it on everyone's faces. Catherine and Abe's loved ones were all so happy to see these two get married and it was definitely one big celebration. The ceremony and reception were held at the amazing Vancouver Convention Centre. This was our 3rd time shooting there this year and it never get's old. Such a beautiful view of the north shore.

We had such a fun time shooting this wedding. Check out the highlights film below!

Also we had the pleasure of working with Jana Vackova Photography again. We always have so much fun with Jana and Lisa.

A big thanks to Lina Dang of The Flower Girl Event Planning for helping the day run smoothly and making sure we always knew what was happening. Lina's the best. So rad.

||TECHY NOTE||

Since we've shot there before and have plenty of footage of the view, we wanted to try something new and get a shot of the VCC from the north shore (which we open the film with). So a few days later Erin and I headed out to Vancouver to do a little pick up shooting. Sometimes what you want to shoot and the craziness of a wedding day schedule don't line up, so pickup shooting is a great way to get the shots you want and to really add something special to the film.

Summer?

First off… this blog hasn't been updated in a while. I feel bad. Forgive me? The reason is we've been quite busy lately (poor excuse) as the summer wedding season has kicked off. We've been having a blast so far but it's definitely our busiest season yet. We have some awesome wedding highlight films that we can't wait to post and also some other special projects… you'll see soon, I promise. It's crazy to me that it's almost august. Especially since the summer weather has barely been showing it's face lately. It really doesn't feel like summer at all to me. Erin and I have been escaping to Cultus lake as often as we can and the weather has been so dreary! Oh well. I've got a feeling it's gonna pick up and we're gonna have 100 days of sun.

Over the next month we'll be doing a lot of travelling, so many updates will be from the road. If you'd like, you can follow me on twitter or our official twitter account. I've been on Erin's case lately to get on this twitter train and she's starting to think about it… maybe you guys can help me out by leaving some comments telling her to get on it.

In the next couple days we'll be posting a highlights film from a couple weeks ago. It's really great and we can't wait to share. Anywho… I'm starting to ramble.

Oh Cultus... how I love thee.

PS if you haven't listened to Bon Iver's new album... well... you should.

WRCA GRADUATION || THE CLASS OF 2011

I'm a proud lifer of WRCA. It's an incredible school. For the past 5 years I've been making films of the graduation banquet and this year we decided to make a little highlights. It's been a lot of fun to go back year after year and see how the school is growing and to see people I remember from my high school days graduate. It's a reminder how fast time goes by. Take a look at the highlights below.
