Sheetal + Davinder || Wedding Highlights

Meet Sheetal and Davinder. An amazing couple to say the least. I met the two of them last summer when we went out for coffee to talk about their wedding. When they told me it was to be a three day Sikh wedding I was super pumped. Up until this point we had never filmed a Sikh wedding and we were so excited to shoot something different. On the first night of the celebration we were struck by the beauty and elegance of the wedding. For the next three days we watched and took part in a truly amazing event. Being able to watch and film such touching traditions and personal moments between families was truly an honour. We had such a incredible time with Sheetal and Davinder. This is a wedding we will never forget. Below is their highlights film.

I'm Not Crying, I'm just struggling to breathe || Candi + Daniel Wedding Film

What can I say about Candi + Daniel? Probably one of the coolest couples I've ever worked with. Despite having met them on the wedding day, I felt like I knew them for years. Earlier this year we shot Bonny Jo + Joshua's wedding in Dallas Texas. After seeing our highlights film, Joshua's good friend Candi decided to book us. Whenever we can, we love to meet our couples and get to know them well before the wedding, but unfortunately this time it wasn't possible.

So a few weeks ago I flew down to Dallas for the wedding. It was so great to get out of the crummy BC weather for a few days and go somewhere warm. I arrived a day early so I was able to have some free time in Dallas which was awesome. I was able to hang out and catch up with Bonny Jo and Joshua and even see "Black Swan" (if you've seen it let me know how you liked it). I loved having a day to see the city but I was so excited to meet Candi and Daniel and film their wedding!

The next day I arrived early at the beautiful Bethesda Church to film some of the grounds. The wedding was to start after sundown so I was really pumped to get some shots of the beautiful scenery at sunset. I walked in the church and introduced myself to Candi. We had been talking over email so it was so great to be able to finally see her in person. I was immediately struck by her generosity and relaxed personality. She was so friendly and I could already tell that I was going to have a ton of fun filming this wedding. I then went over to meet Daniel who was getting ready elsewhere. This guy has to be one of the most naturally funny people I've met and his english accent definitely helps. I could ramble on about this awesome couple or you can check them out for yourself in their highlights film below.

One more to go...

Well I'm sitting in Vancouver International Airport waiting for my flight to Dallas Texas to board. I got a solid 3.5 hour sleep last night so that's sweet. I'm really looking forward to catching some shut eye on the plane. Christmas time in Vancouver is the best. Even the airport is decked out with decorations and Christmas music.

It's December 2nd and I'm on my way to film the last wedding of the year for us. This trip is going to be awesome. I get to film an amazing wedding with a super rad couple, and I get to visit Bonny Jo and Joshua who's wedding we shot in Dallas earlier this year (check it here!) Last week we shot a 3 day Sikh wedding which was so awesome. I'll be posting the highlights film soon. We've been going none stop lately. With the holidays fast approaching we're working more than expected so we're really looking forward to having some holiday time.

We've had an amazing wedding season and we're so excited for whats in store for 2011. We have incredible couples booked for next year and we couldn't be happier (oh wait we could… my fiancee Erin and I are getting married in May)

So I just thought I'd check in and throw a couple of random things down to keep you up to speed. Check back soon for some new films!

Oh PS… Last night we received some cool news. We were runners up for "Best Cinematography" at the BC Wedding Awards. A great honour!

...and PPS here is an incredible song to get you in the Christmas spirit.
