One more to go...

Well I'm sitting in Vancouver International Airport waiting for my flight to Dallas Texas to board. I got a solid 3.5 hour sleep last night so that's sweet. I'm really looking forward to catching some shut eye on the plane. Christmas time in Vancouver is the best. Even the airport is decked out with decorations and Christmas music.

It's December 2nd and I'm on my way to film the last wedding of the year for us. This trip is going to be awesome. I get to film an amazing wedding with a super rad couple, and I get to visit Bonny Jo and Joshua who's wedding we shot in Dallas earlier this year (check it here!) Last week we shot a 3 day Sikh wedding which was so awesome. I'll be posting the highlights film soon. We've been going none stop lately. With the holidays fast approaching we're working more than expected so we're really looking forward to having some holiday time.

We've had an amazing wedding season and we're so excited for whats in store for 2011. We have incredible couples booked for next year and we couldn't be happier (oh wait we could… my fiancee Erin and I are getting married in May)

So I just thought I'd check in and throw a couple of random things down to keep you up to speed. Check back soon for some new films!

Oh PS… Last night we received some cool news. We were runners up for "Best Cinematography" at the BC Wedding Awards. A great honour!

Fall is here... that means Christmas is close

Even though the weather hasn't been showing it lately, the Fall season is upon us. I'm a huge fan of Fall, especially in Vancouver. I love the temperature, the leaves, the new Fall TV schedule, etc. The wedding season isn't quite over for us though. We have 2 more weddings to shoot this year, one of which is in Dallas Texas. So that'll be awesome. This blog post is mainly me just checking in with everyone out there in internet land. I want to thank everyone for their kind words about the new site and blog. We're really happy with the change and we're glad everyone else is enjoying it. We've been very busy lately editing weddings from the summer, booking up our 2011 season, brainstorming for the future, and also working on some promotional and corporate projects. We recently brought in some new gear and have been using it on a couple of projects. We're very excited to use these new tools in our work and are excited about the possibilities. Also as you know Erin and I are planning our wedding for next year and we've finally got our act together and booked a church and reception venue. We're extremely excited and can't wait. Also a lot of people have been asking us the inevitable question "but who will film your wedding?"... don't worry, we've got it covered :) Oh that reminds me... we had our engagement photos done by the lovely Jamie Delaine. We are extremely excited right now... just in general you know? We're so pumped for Christmas coming up, the new year, getting hitched, pushing our work further, the new wedding season and all the awesome couples we have lined up. New Site, New Blog, New film

Well we have a lot to announce today. First off since you're here... welcome to the new Hello Tomorrow Blog! A little cleaner and a little more interactive. Leave us some comments and let us know what you think! Another big announcement for today is we have a brand spankin' new website! It's been a few years since we've done a total refresh so we're really excited about it. It's also a little less cluttered, cleaner, and has a larger video player in the gallery! Check it out here and let us know what you think! And finally of course we have a brand new highlights film to show today. The incredible wedding of Kelly + Jeff that we filmed in Victoria BC. The day started off with Erin and I going on a very early and stunningly beautiful ferry ride over to the island. We were taken back by the amazing beauty of this province we're so blessed to live in. Kelly and Jeff felt the same way and really wanted to incorporate the scenery into their wedding. Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Lillian Hoffer park, overlooking the harbour. It was so awesome to be surrounded by huge beautiful trees and feel the ocean breeze flowing through whilst Kelly and Jeff said their vows.

The Reception was held at the stunning Brentwood Bay Lodge on Vancouver Island. Kelly and Jeff's wedding basically took over the place and it was a blast! Enough with the chit chat... check out Kelly and Jeff's highlights film below and let us know what you think!

Tien Tien + Burkon | Vancouver Wedding Highlights

About 6 months ago I received an email from Tien Tien asking if we could film her and her fiance Burkon's wedding. They live in New York so we setup a meeting as soon as they could get to Vancouver. They explained to me the details of the day and I was so excited to shoot it. Fast forward a few months and here is their highlight film.

Tien Tien and Burkon's wedding was full of laughter and dancing. The bridal party were laughing it up all day long and we had a complete blast. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Saint Andrew's Wesley United and reception was held at the beautiful Sutton Place Hotel. One of my favourite parts of the day was at the tea ceremony they had two little his and hers Hello Kitty dolls. Tien Tien loves everything Hello Kitty. So rad!

Special shout out to Samantha Nutley and her team from Dream Group Productions for throwing such an incredible wedding!
